# Skins

A skin is a complete set of colour schemes and settings. The default skin is used across the site; extra skins let a campaign or sub-site look completely different.

Colours are applied only while **Enable theme colour features** is on. Define skins under **Skins** using one `key|Label` per line, e.g. `campaign|Campaign`, then choose the **Default skin** and **Default scheme**. Save — each skin then gets its own tab with the settings described in the following chapters.

* A new skin's tab appears after you save, not as you type. It starts as a copy of the default skin — colours, typography, radius, regions and settings — except **Apply skin**, which starts empty.
* **Removing a row deletes that skin** and its stored values on the next save. There is no exported copy to restore from, so if you drop a row by accident, retype it before saving.

To apply a skin to part of the site, open that skin's **Settings** tab and add a path rule under **Apply skin**, e.g. `path|/campaign*`.
